This comes courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog, which broke the news today, killing spreading rumors that Raimi would be directing the reboot. Instead the filmmaker will help MGM and fellow producers Nathan Kahane, Roy Lee, and Robert Tapert find a director to adapt David Lindsay-Abaire’s script. You should really know the rundown for this one if you’re on these pages but just in case you don’t here it is:

POLTERGEIST focuses on a family whose house was built on a holy site and whose daughter is taken by ghosts.

So does Raimi’s involvement change your opinion of this remake or are you still not jiving with it? Let us know by spitting some bullets below and be sure to keep it here for anything and everything POLTERGEIST that rolls our way!
