Cover and first single released for Chris Alexander’s album Body Double

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Chris Alexander has been a prominent name in the horror community for many years now, and genre fans may know him from his time serving as the editor-in-chief of Fangoria, writing for Rue Morgue, launching Delirium magazine with Full Moon's Charles Band, or for being the founder of Fantasm Media. Alexander has also directed several films, including QUEEN OF BLOOD, FEMALE WEREWOLF, SPACE VAMPIRE, and the Full Moon release NECROPOLIS: LEGION (which can be rented or bought for viewing on Amazon Prime Video).

In addition to being a screenwriter, director, and journalist, Alexander also happens to be a musician, and his fourth studio album BODY DOUBLE is now available for pre-order through his store. Copies will ship out in July.

BODY DOUBLE is a

nine-track collection of dark, neo-industrial, ambient/electronic analog synthwave rock. Heavy, dirty and atmospheric giallo music for dark nights and black gloved killers. Featuring percussion work by Toronto drummer David Bertrand, who also functions as the other half of Alexander's touring band. All other instruments – synth, guitar, bass – by Chris Alexander. The album is produced by Alexander.

The first single from the album is "Shock Waves", described as "a pumping doom-synth death-disco rock anthem for Satanic dance floors." You can listen to "Shock Waves" in the YouTube embed below.

Eric Adrian Lee made the cover art for the BODY DOUBLE album, which can be seen below.

If you like "Shock Waves" and would like to pick up a copy of BODY DOUBLE on CD, head over to Alexander's store. If digital downloads and limited edition vinyl releases are more your speed, those will be coming down the line later in the year.
