Craven Likes Waiting

Looks like Wes Craven continues to search for a partner that he can make a good genre film with again. After the horror that was CURSED, and the generally unpleasant experience that FEAST looks like (no matter how it comes out eventually), the next studio on Craven’s dance card is now Gold Circle Films. They’ll join up with Executive Producer Craven’s Maddalena Films to bring THE WAITING to life.

The story, from scribes Juliet Snowden and Stiles White, is described as: in the vein of ’70s horror staples like Don’t Look Now and Rosemary’s Baby, [and] follows a woman who believes she is being haunted by the ghost of her deceased child.

Works for me. Now here’s hoping that Gold Circle continues to distinguish itself as a genre friendly house and lets Craven do what he does best. Scare the freaking pants off of us!
