Need more reasons to check out HOUSE OF WAX? I mean everything about it so far has exceeded expectations and it really looks like it could be a legitimate hit this summer. Well add some tidbits from the SciFi Wire interview with Elisha Cuthbert to the equation and tell me you’re not even more excited now. BEWARE, though, there are some minor spoilers.
Comparing it to other recent horror flicks: “It’s punchier than any other sort of teen horror. It’s a lot of fun, but at the same time there’s moments where you’re like, ‘Oh, my God!'”
On getting all FALLING DOWN with a baseball bat: “I felt like that was my moment. I felt like that was where my character goes, ‘I am not a sissy. I am going to solve this situation,’ and it’s going to be enough to be satisfying for a resolve of a movie. All the people there can testify I was so sore the next day, because they were going to give me a fake bat, and I said that there’s no way, because the feeling and the motion of having a real bat changes everything.”
Batter up, eh? Can’t argue with that. Sounds intense, bloody and awesome! Plus I’m sure that fans of 24 will be glad to know that the poor girl doesn’t get caught in anymore cougar traps.
