If you rushed out to see D-WAR, or DRAGON WARS, then you came out seeing a film that would have only been acceptable on the Sci-Fi Channel late night line-up. You know, where they show the movies with nudity, but blur it out, even though they are a cable channel.
Anyways, word on the street is that the director of D-WAR, Shim Hyung-rae, has a sequel of the film in the works. He hopes to get the film out in 2009.
During a news conference at the Korean Cultural Center in New York, comedian-turned-film director Shim Hyung-rae said he has received a proposal to shoot a sequel very soon, targeting a summer 2009 release date.
Shim said that he is discussing a possible release for D-War in Europe and that preparations will begin Thursday for its opening in Japan.
So bottoms up for D-WAR 2: EUROPEAN JIGGALO… wait a minute…
