Dan Harmon developing a TV series based on Kurt Vonnegut’s Sirens of Titan

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

So Dan Harmon seems to be on a sci-fi kick after announcing the third season of RICK AND MORTY recently. Now he’s set his sights on adapting beloved sci-fi 1959 novel SIRENS OF TITAN from acclaimed novelist Kurt Vonnegut. That’s like, a bunch of things I love in one package – Dan Harmon, Kurt Vonnegut, heady sci-fi – I can barely contain myself!

The story itself is about an Martian invasion of Earth, but is not a simple invasion story, but rather deals with issues of free will, omniscience, and the purpose of human history. And while a bunch of film adaptations have come and fallen to the wayside (one as recently as 2007), a TV show seems likes a more appropriate place to tell the tale. As long as they don’t skimp on the budget, or kick Harmon off the fourth season.

Anyway, you guys fans of Harmon or Vonnegut? What do you feel about a SIRENS OF TITAN TV show? Either way, sound off below!

No release date as of yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
