Just yesterday we saw the first images from Danny Boyle's upcoming STEVE JOBS, showcasing Michael Fassbender's Jobs and Seth Rogen's Steve Wozniak. While the film had a bit of a rocky start when David Fincher and Christian Bale walked from the project, Danny Boyle (TRANCE, SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE) was quick to take the reigns and cast Fassbender in the leading role. It seems that momentum will ensure a 2015 release date as Jeff Sneider took to Twitter to announce that STEVE JOBS will be hitting theaters just in time for this year's awards season.

Aaron Sorkin's (MONEYBALL, THE SOCIAL NETWORK) script was a high-profile concept, focusing on three different product launches that take place in real-time. It's really no surprise that replacements were found so quickly and that we're looking at a fall release. After all, it's not like there's some really intensive CGI that needs to be brought in afterwards…unless Steve Jobs was good friends with Optimus Prime. What a twist!

STEVE JOBS will be released on October 9, 2015.
