Drujika Contessa of Blood

Last year we heard that musician Glenn Danzig would be making his feature directorial debut with VEROTIKA, an anthology based on characters featured in comics published by Danzig's own comic book company Verotik. Filming on VEROTIKA has since been completed, and as the finishing touches are put on the film in post-production, a few stills from it were shared on the Danzig Facebook page.

In these stills we get some creepy lighting, some kind of creature latching on to a woman in front of a giant spider web, and a knife-wielding woman who looks like she's living in a sword and sorcery story.

According to the VEROTIKA IMDb listing, the film is divided into segments titled Change of Face, Morella, Drukija Contessa of Blood, and The Albino Spider of Dajette. And there are several porn stars in the cast.

While overseeing the completion of VEROTIKA, Danzig is already looking ahead to his second film. His Facebook page reports that he has recently finished the script for his next film,

a vampire Spaghetti-Western

A simple description that already has me sold on checking it out, because I love when the horror and Western genres get mixed together.

Danzig will begin casting his vampire spaghetti Western soon. We'll keep you updated on both that project and VEROTIKA as we hear more.
