Dark Castle is Unknown

A report streaming out of Variety this morning has us here at the AITH offices perplexed and excited. Apparently Juame Collet-Serra, director of the upcoming flick ORPHAN and the stellar HOUSE OF WAX, has been tapped to direct another Dark Castle film–UNKNOWN WHITE MALE.

Produced by Joel Silver and Dark Castle, and based on the novel “Out of My Head” by Didier Van Cauwelaert, this sucker has horror written all over it… except for the one-lined synopsis: a doctor and his wife go to Berlin for a medical conference. After a car accident, he awakes from a coma to discover that another man has assumed his identity.

Sounds like a thriller, yes? And yet, it’s coming from a horror director and a horror production company, so I’m gonna say there’s gonna be a buttload of horror elements going on here that we just don’t know about. Like the guy is an alien clone out to destroy the planet. Or it turns into SINGLE WHITE FEMALE, in which case, we’ll all f*cked anyway.
