If you’re like me then you can dig a good psychological thriller from time to time. And if you’re like me then dark experiments and mind control in a psychological thriller should have you going from six to midnight. .. Alright.. maybe I’m not that excited but you get the idea.
So what am I getting at? A little flick headed our way called THE RED ROBIN. This shite already has Michael Z. Wechsler tapped to direct with a cast already put together that includes Judd Hirsch (right), Ryan O’Nan, C.S. Lee, Jaime Ray Newman (below), Caroline Lagerfelt and Joseph Lyle Taylor. Scope out the rundown:
The flick centers on the adopted adult son (Ryan O’Nan) of a famed psychiatrist (Judd Hirsch) specializing in trauma who was rumored to have done some confidential work for the CIA during the Cold War. A family reunion on the psychiatrist’s death bed spirals into chaos when the father’s accused of adopting his large family of children for the purposes of dark experiments in mind control.
Sounds like it’s got some potential, right? At least let’s hang on until we see a trailer before judging this one. Wechsler, who also penned the flick, will be producing with Jonathan Sanger, Rick Porras, Shawn Singh and Wendy Herst all executive producing. Terry Keefe is also on board as a co-producer.
Production on THE RED ROBIN is set to kick off this weekend in Philadelphia so be sure to check back soon for more on this psychological romp.
