Dark Sky has acquired Night of the Living Deb

Last Updated on July 22, 2021

With his 2009 film INFESTATION, director Kyle Rankin imagined an apocalyptic scenario involving giant alien insects, and with his new film NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEB, Rankin is once again bringing about the end of the world, this time with a zombie outbreak.

Written by Andy Selsor from a story he and Rankin came up with together, DEB is a "rom-zom-com" about

a one night stand that evolves into a zombie apocalypse in which a mismatched couple discover that the only thing scarier than trusting someone with your life is trusting them with your heart.

Maria Thayer, Michael Cassidy, and Ray Wise star.

Having already secured distribution in the UK from Icon Films, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEB now has a North American distribution deal as well, with MPI/Dark Sky Films acquiring the rights. They plan to give the film a home video release sometime in September of this year.

The DEB trailer can be viewed below, and after watching that I am looking forward to when Dark Sky will be releasing the film in seven months. It looks like a lot of fun to me.
