Our comrades over at Filmz.ru sent us some cool TV spots for Timur Bekmambetov’s DAY WATCH today. Now, keep in mind that everything is in Russian, so bear with us. As well, there’s 6 new onesheets for the film, each with a character on a swirly background of sorts. Whatever it is, it looks cool, and look better than the previous posters for the film.
The film is the second installment of a trilogy based on the best-selling sci-fi novels of Sergei Lukyanenko, which FOX has been holding onto for release here in North America for who knows how long. Considering that the previous film, NIGHT WATCH, was a contender for Best Foreign Language Film for the 2005 Academy Awards, you’d figure FOX would get off their butts and release it, but hey, I’m not Rupert Murdoch.
