Dead City teases

We’ve been following the independent UK zomcom DEAD CITY for a while now, and this morning we got the heads up from director James Kennedy that not only has the film wrapped shooting, but there’s a now a brand spankin’ new clip and teaser trailer online! So what’s the verdict? Looks like we have another SHAUN OF THE DEAD on our hands with this one!

Maybe I’m just saying that because of the UK zomcom similarities, or the overall light-hearted comedic feel I got from the teaser (which you can check out below), but the whole thing screamed SHAUN… and that’s not necessarily a bad thing!

Madly editing and cutting the film together, they’re still working out the kinks and making it work. The flick is basically 3 separate stories that intertwine with each other at one hellish zombie filled point along the way. One one of the stories features a guy who’s had a rough day at work, and all he wants to do is sit back on his couch and relax (surprisingly, this guy’s also a lot like Shaun)… but he can’t, because he’s locked out. Oh, and then his zombie friends come over and ruin his perfectly nice afternoon of relaxation, just like that! The nerve of some people…

The new clip features a little scene from this story, as does the new teaser trailer, both of which you can check out below until your hearts content. And if you’re feeling up to it, make sure you hit up the flick’s OFFICIAL MYSPACE PAGE for more info and a slew of new images! Keep it here for more DEAD CITY action, and enjoy the new footage!
