Way the f*ck back in September of 2007 we got word that a little indie zombie flick by the name of THE DEAD MATTER wrapped filming (check that out HERE). Today we got word that post-production has officially wrapped on the production, meaning the final product is in the bag, baby!
Director and score composer Edward Douglas had this to say about finally wrapping this motherf*cker up: I am absolutely thrilled with how the movie came out. I think it’s exactly what fans would expect from a Midnight Syndicate movie. Classic horror themes…very atmospheric, very creepy… and loaded with twists and turns that really pull you into the dark world we try to create on all our discs. It’s definitely a fun ride for fans who enjoy a good story and an old-school edge to their horror films.
So what the hell is THE DEAD MATTER about? I’m glad you asked, cause it goes a little something like this: a girl named Gretchen who’s desire to reconnect with her dead brother draws her into the supernatural world of vampirism and the living dead.
But what may be even cooler than busting out a vampire / zombie flick is the cast this sucker has on board, including Andrew Divoff, Jason Carter, and the legendary Tom Savini! Nice line up! You can check out the teaser below and get an idea of what this sucker entails, including my favorite part: Divoff in a really bad blonde wig. What the hell is up with that? I guess we’ll have to watch to find out!
No release date has been set… yet… but now that it’s complete, it’s only a matter of time. Enjoy the teaser trailer below, check out the film’s OFFICIAL SITE, and keep yer eye out for THE DEAD MATTER and that ugly blond Divoff!
