So today comes with the welcome news that David Cronenberg’s masterpiece of creepy gynocological twin-dom, DEAD RINGERS, will be getting it’s due with a re-release from Warner Bros. Sweet news for anyone who missed their chance to grab up the now out of print Criterion edition of the flick.
Special features will include:
A commentary track by star Jeremy Irons, a behind-the-scenes featurette, interviews with the cast and crew, the Dead Ringers psychological profile, and a new 1.85 anamorphic transfer and your choice of 2.0 or 5.1 sound.
Not bad, not bad at all. But most impotantly, it gives us all a chance to once again enjoy the incomparably creepy Jeremy Irons x 2, which of course =’s scared girlfriend wanting to sleep over! Just don’t try to use any of the following instruments in your fantasy play with her after the flick.
