Death is not what it seems in The Possession of Hannah Grace trailer

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

After binge-watching the first five episodes of THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE, last night, I am ao ready to devour more horror-related goodness as the sacred month of October presses on. Today, Screen Gems has dropped a new trailer for their upcoming horror feature THE POSSESSION OF HANNAH GRACE. Directed by Diederik Van Rooijen (TAPED, DAYLIGHT, PENOZA), the film centers on a shocking exorcism that spirals out of control, claiming the life of a young woman. Months later, Megan Reed (Shay Mitchell) is working the graveyard shift in the morgue when she takes delivery of a disfigured cadaver. Locked alone inside the basement corridors, Megan begins to experience horrifying visions and starts to suspect that the body may be possessed by a ruthless demonic force.

Joining Mitchell (PRETTY LITTEL LIARS, MOTHER'S DAY) for the oncoming frightfest are actors Grey Damon (OLDBOY, TRUE BLOOD), Kirby Johnson (5150), and Stana Katic (CBGB, THE SPIRIT). From what I can see of the new trailer, the upcoming possession picture written by Brian Sieve (BOOGEYMAN 2, SCREAM: THE TV SERIES) looks to deliver plenty of close-quarter scares while aiming to pressent a fresh take on the exorcism sub-genre. I could be down for that. Furthermore, I'm genuinely jazzed by this trailer, and will likely find myself checking this one out after it arrives in theaters on November 30th. I'll think of it as something like an after-Halloween treat.
