Death Proof cover!

It seems unfortunate that while Robert Rodruiguez’s half of GRIND HOUSE seems to be in limbo at the moment, Quentin Tarantino’s half is seemingly going smoothly.

Today Ain’t It Cool News posted the cover for the script they reviewed a while back (negatively, I might add) for Tarantino’s DEATH PROOF, which actually looks pretty sweet (the cover, I mean). While I’m not going to base my opinion on a script review (since things tend to be different on the screen almost all the time), I will say that Tarantino’s stuff comes out better when it’s on the celluloid, rather than paper. Oh and the ‘R.I.P. Release‘ on the cover? It stands for ‘Rodriguez International Pictures’, which is Rodruiguez’s form of A.I.P. I just think it’s cool to have ‘An R.I.P. Release’ on your script, is all.

DEATH PROOF, which stars Mickey Rourke and Zoe Bell, is set to start shooting this summer, while PROJECT TERROR (Rodruiguez’s half of GRIND HOUSE) is on ice for the time being. Keep an eye out for news on the latter starting up again, and click here for a better shot of the cover.
