Demian Bichir is a name I think a few people still have an issue placing a face to. My personal favorite role of his so far has been in HATEFUL EIGHT. I think he really took that role and made it much more entertaining than it was on paper.
Anyhow, Bichir has just been added to the cast of THE CONJURING spin-off flick, THE NUN, from British director Corin Hardy (THE HALLOW). Development on THE NUN began shortly after THE CONJURING 2 opened to huge numbers last June. James Wan will be on board as a producer, and the current script is written by Gary Dauberman and Wan.
Other than THE NUN we still have the CONJURING spin-off/sequel ANNABELLE: CREATION to "look forward" to this year. You can check out the newly-released ANNABELLE 2 trailer below. As for THE NUN, the current plan is release the film next year on July 13th.
That's a Friday the 13th if you didn't realize. Spooky….
Bichir can be seen next in the Ridley Scott-directed ALIEN: COVENANT, which opens May 19th.
