Destroy humans again

I’ve been a fan of Pandemic Studios for quite some time. These guys did an admirable job on STAR WARS: KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC II after Bioware opted out on the sequel, and the group also made a nice homage to the old sci-fi B-Movies of yesteryear with DESTROY ALL HUMANS!. A fun budget title, DESTROY ALL HUMANS! put you in the role of Crypto 137, your not-so-typical gray alien with a blaster charged with sucking brains of 1950’s humans and generally causing mass destruction with a touch of humour that garnered a couple laughs when I played it. Granted, it wasn’t perfect, but that’s what sequels are for.

That’s right, Pandemic Studios is once again teaming with THQ to bring Crypto back in DESTROY ALL HUMANS! 2. Set for release this fall, the game has Crypto visiting Earth once again, this time in the 1960’s, with hippies and flower power galore! Hippies aren’t the only enemies you’ll face this time, as the Cold War is in full effect this time around, so expect to face Soviet forces, James Bond-type spies and even ninjas. Because hey, it’s not a game unless you have your ninja quotient up. Pandemic will also be adding a new co-op mode for those groups of friends in need of a little multiplayer probing in five new open-ended areas. Expect more info as it comes.
