“Dexter” might be squaring off against his toughest rival yet in season seven.

Ray Stevenson, best known for his turns in HBO’s “Rome” and PUNISHER: WAR ZONE, is joining the Showtime series, which is currently filming.

According to EW, Stevenson will have recurring role next season playing the leader of a Russian organized crime syndicate. Surely he’s more intimidating than Colin Hanks ever was…

Stevenson, who was recently in THOR and will soon be seen in G.I. JOE: RETALIATION, joins Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, Desmond Harrington, James Remar, David Zayas, C.S. Lee and Lauren Velez.

This will be the second-to-last season for the hit show (at least, that’s the plan), about an affable serial killer in Miami. It premieres on SEPTEMBER 30th.
