Remember when Cameron Diaz looked like this? I sure wish she still did. But hey, that’s what makeup and talented cinematographers are for.
DONNIE DARKO director Richard Kelly is going to put the Joker-like lady in his latest flick, the upcoming terror tale THE BOX (cue obligatory vagina joke). The $30 million movie, which has been in the works for a while with Eli Roth’s involvement, is based on a story called “Button Button” by Richard Matheson (“I Am Legend”).
The dark flick, which is aiming at the cash-friendly PG-13 rating, revolves around the soul-searing greed of humanity. A couple finds a mysterious box that, with the push of a button, delivers money but also instantly kills a random person. (Still, free money. I bet I could live with that.)
Diaz is currently heard in SHREK THE THIRD, while we continue to await Kelly’s last feature SOUTHLAND TALES.
