So it’s been a while since we’ve talked about Dante Tomaselli’s TORTURE CHAMBER. Actually, it’s been less than a month but we’re going to call that a while here at AITH and roll with it!
So after the long month of waiting for another TORTURE CHAMBER update what could I possibly have for you today? Well not only has Mr. Tomaselli found another opportunity to chat about his long-awaited project but we’ve also got the film’s official website up and running! How excited are you right now, honestly? To scope out the official website and all the unmentionable goods found inside you’ll want to head right over HERE!
13-year-old Jimmy Morgan is possessed by an evil too powerful to be exorcised by any priest. One year after his own brother, Father Mark Morgan, nearly died in the attempt, Jimmy is back with a vengeance—and an army of horribly burned children who follow his every murderous desire. The town of Smithville trembles in fear as Jimmy and his deadly young followers attack and abduct its residents—innocent and guilty alike—dragging their victims to an abandoned castle and subjecting them to grisly torments deep within its catacombs. Those who discover the terrible secret behind the disappearances and deaths don’t live long enough to tell it. The teacher, the doctor, the detective, even Jimmy’s own brother and mother, will all confront their fates in the Torture Chamber.
As far as the interview goes, Tomaselli recently had a chance to sit down with Big Daddy Horror Reviews to chat about a number of things, but most notably TORTURE CHAMBER. So what goods did the filmmaker have to spill? Check it:
“Characters are strapped to a medieval torture device called The Stove, left to burn and die. We have an Iron Maiden, the Headcrusher, and the Rack. There are suffocatings, beatings, stabbings. Still, though, it’s not as gory as it seems. Violent…yes, definitely…very…but not over-the-top grisly. I employ a mixture of suggestive and in-your-face jolts. I always liked the model for Halloween and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, where the films seemed very bloody but in fact they were not.”
To scope out the rest of the interview you can head right over HERE. TORTURE CHAMBER sports a cast that includes Vincent Pastore, Ed Neal, Lynn Lowry, Marilyn Burns, Raine Brown (below) and Christie Sanford. Unfortunately there’s no word on a release for TORTURE CHAMBER yet but you can bet we’ll pass that along to you once it comes our way!
