Clownado Todd Sheets

With his werewolf movie BONEHILL ROAD set to be released by Wild Eye Releasing this Halloween, veteran indie filmmaker Todd Sheets is gearing up for his next project, which is titled CLOWNADO. Sheets cautions horror fans not to let the title fool you; while the film will have over-the-top elements, this isn't just a goofy killer clown version of SHARKNADO, this movie is going to be a horror film noir and "a one of a kind thrill ride into the depths of depravity and gore".

The story centers on

crazed killer clowns on a rampage from Hell… out for revenge and only BLOOD can quench their savage desire for destruction.

Scream queen Linnea Quigley and drive-in icon Jeanne Silver are set to star with Rachel Lagen, Eileen Dietz, Joel D. Wynkoop, Cayt Feinics, Millie Milan, Bobby Westrick, Dilynn Fawn Harvey, Ana Rojas-Plumberg, Eric "Danger" Dionne, David McMahon, Julie Anne Prescott, Jack McCord, and Antwoine Steele. Joe Castro will be providing the special effects.

Sheets is going for a classic horror vibe with this one, something along the lines of "THE EVIL DEAD, DEAD ALIVE, BAD TASTE and THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE if Lucio Fulci was directing, all mixed in a swirling storm of insanity!" Well, I'm sold.

Having passed its initial goal in an IndieGogo fundraising and pre-order campaign, CLOWNADO is now in pre-production, with filming expected to begin soon.
