When Disney+ invites all you Mouseketeers to open your hearts and wallets later this year, the exclusive streaming service from the House of Mouse will offer plenty of new and exciting films and television shows for subscribers to enjoy. Among the many titles destined for the platform – such as Jon Favreau's THE MANDALORIAN, director Charlie Bean's live-action version of THE LADY AND THE TRAMP, and a host of Marvel series like WANDAVISION, LOKI, and THE FALCON AND WINTER SOLIDER – Disney is forever planning more content for their grand plan. With other live-action series based on properties like THE MIGHTY DUCKS, THE SANDLOT, and a long-awaited MUPPETS revival in the works, there's no telling how far the time-honored company is willing to go to get your subscription dollars.

As a way of giving you more reasons to factor the platform's subscription fee into your montly cable bill, Disney+ has announced that a reboot of their animated CHIP 'N' DALE series is currently in production. In addition to inviting their furry friends to star on the platform, the studio has also shared a first look at the logo for MONSTERS AT WORK, a television series based on Pixar's MONSTERS INC. franchise.

Disney+, Monsters at Work, Pixar

For MONSTERS AT WORK, the series will pick up six months after the original movie with the power plant at its center now harvesting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis. The series follows Tylor Tuskmon (Ben Feldman), an eager and talented mechanic on the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team who dreams of working on the Laugh Floor alongside Mike and Sulley. Set to reprise their roles for the highly-anticipated show are John Goodman (Sullivan) and Billy Crystal (Mike). Meanwhile, the dynamic duo are also set to be joined by MONSTERS INC. originals John Ratzenberger as Yeti, Jennifer Tilly as Celia, Bob Peterson as Roz, and newcomers Ben Feldman as Tylor Tuskmon, Star Wars alumna Kelly Marie Tran as Val Little, Henry Winkler as Fritz, Lucas Neff as Duncan, Alanna Ubach as Cutter, Stephen Stanton as Smitty and Needleman, and Aisha Tyler as Tylor's mom, Millie Tuskmon.

As for the CHIP 'N' DALE reboot, the new version of the famous chipmunk duo's adventures will be presented as a combination of traditional animation coupled with a contemporary comedic narrative. The series is being developed by Disney’s London-based animation team in collaboration with Xilam Animation in Paris. Disney is carefully planning the launch of 39, seven-minute-long episodes of CHIP 'N' DALE, which will feature the chipmunks in a bevy of non-verbal, comedic hijinks. Jean Carol will direct all of the episodes with Marc du Pontavice producing. Whether or not the series plans to include the characters Gadget Hackwrench, Monterey Jack, or Zipper of CHIP 'N' DALES RESCUE RANGERS fame has yet to be established.

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for more updates with regard to what you can explect from Disney+ as this year's D23 celebration approaches.
