The British-produced, Farsi-language flick UNDER THE SHADOW has been receiving ecstatic buzz from the festival circuit, and we have a brand new clip to share with you! It's a low key clip showing a conversation between a mother and daughter, but it lays the groundwork for some terrifying truths about the existence of djinn, the evil spirits that haunt this movie. Check it out below!

The feature debut of writer/director Babak Anvari, UNDER THE SHADOW is 

set in 1988 Iran, during the bloodshed of the Iran-Iraq War. Shideh and her daughter Dorsa start to believe their family home is haunted by “djinn” — evil spirits that are trying to steal their most prized belongings, including a treasured cloth doll.

Narges Rashidi, Avin Manshadi, Bobby Naderi, Ray Haratian, Hamidreza Djavdan, and Soussan Farrokhnia star.
