Doctor Strange 2: Bruce Campbell teases involvement with Sam Raimi sequel

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

When Sam Raimi signed on to direct the Marvel sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, one of the first things many of us thought was, "That means there will be a Bruce Campbell cameo!" Campbell himself even quickly took to Twitter to say, "Huh. Surely, there must be SOME character to challenge the good Doctor…"

Well, now it looks like Campbell has filmed his cameo. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is filming in London, and Campbell just happens to have spent some time there, as evident from his Twitter account. On February 21st, he posted a time lapse video of a London intersection:

Six days later, he mentioned having a blast "working in a certain city with a certain director"… basically confirming that he just did some work on Doctor Strange without actually saying the words.

If Campbell is indeed in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, he joins a cast that includes returning Doctor Strange stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Benedict Wong as Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Mordo, and Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer, plus Cumberbatch's Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame co-star Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, and new addition Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez, a.k.a. Miss America.

Raimi's frequent collaborator Danny Elfman is composing the score.

Scripted by Jade Bartlett and Michael Waldron, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is currently scheduled to reach theatres on March 25, 2022.
