Does the new one-sheet for James McTeigue’s The Raven offer up clues?

I don’t know why, but I’m starting to get the feeling James McTeigue’s THE RAVEN may blend elements of FROM HELL with SECRET WINDOW. That’s to say I’d be mighty disappointed if John Cusack ends up being the killer, a la Johnny Depp. Fuck all that noise, jack!

Anyway, a new one-sheet for the film has been propped up, and we have for you to check out underneath. With the tagline “The only one who can stop a serial killer is the man who inspired him” front and center, I do wonder if it’s Poe himself the phrase refers to. Something to think about…

Also featuring Alice Eve, Luke Evans, Brendan Gleeson, Dave Legeno, Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Pam Ferris – THE RAVEN is a gritty thriller in which Edgar Allan Poe joins forces with a young Baltimore detective to hunt down a mad serial killer who’s using Poe’s own works as the basis in a string of brutal murders.

THE RAVEN flies into theaters April 27th.
