It's been a while since we heard anything regarding director Caradog James' supernatural horror movie DON'T KNOCK TWICE, which stars Katee Sackhoff and Lucy Boynton. In fact, we haven't heard much about it since the casting process. Now we have one of the best updates you can get on a movie: DON'T KNOCK TWICE has a release date, and it's very soon.

IFC has scheduled the film for a February 3, 2017 VOD release in the US. That will be followed by a March 31, 2017 release in the UK, courtesy of Red and Black Films.

DON'T KNOCK TWICE was written by Mark Huckerby and Nick Ostler, who also wrote last year's "werewolves on a train" film HOWL. These two movies really stand out on their résumés, which are otherwise dominated by kid-friendly animated projects.

Sackhoff plays a

guilt-ridden mother who wants to reconnect with the daughter (Boynton) she was forced to place into care. To save her estranged daughter, she has to uncover the terrifying truth behind the urban legend of a vengeful, demonic witch.

DON'T KNOCK TWICE also has releases coming up soon in a couple other territories, allowing us to get our hands on the international trailer that can be seen below.

There are some impressive, creepy visuals on display in the trailer, but I have to say that the dialogue exchange "I know that your recent relationship with your daughter hasn't been easy", "She believes that witches are conspiring to feed her to a demon!" does more to sell me on this film than anything else.
