Drive Angry gives what the public wants: a hard, angry R rating!

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Excited for DRIVE ANGRY? You should be. The flick just earned an angry R, according to our sources. The MPAA finally gifted the rated to Nic Cage’s latest action-fest and its warrants only make it better. The R rated has been stamped onto the film for “Strong brutal violence throughout, grisly images, some graphic sexual content, nudity and pervasive language.” Now tell me that doesn’t make you wanna do donuts with your hatchback outside.

More news to come but for now this is enough reason to celebrate. Honestly though, who thought this wouldn’t get an R rating? The synopsis, in case you missed it:

Milton (Cage), a hardened felon who has broken out of hell for one last chance at redemption. Intent on stopping a vicious cult who murdered his daughter, he has three days to stop them before they sacrifice her baby beneath a full moon.

He’s joined by Piper (Amber Heard) – a young, sexy waitress who liberates her ex-boyfriend’s cherry-red muscle car in order to help Milton. Now, the two of them are hot on the trail of the deadly leader of the cult, Jonah King (Billy Burke), who believes it is his destiny to use the baby to unleash hell on earth.

The cast also includes Katy Mixon, David Morse, Billy Burke, Christa Campbell, Charlotte Ross, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Tom Atkins and Simone Levin.

Look for the films s it drives into your theaters via Summit Entertainment, February 25th, 2011.
