Duncan Jones‘ WARCRAFT will portray the origin story of the initial encounters between the humans and the orcs, with an emphasis upon both the Alliance’s and the Horde’s sides of their conflict. Featuring characters such as Durotan and Lothar, the film will take place in a variety of locations established in the video game series. It’s been a couple of years but we finally have the first official trailer for the fantasy epic!
Jones made a name for himself directing a pair of very solid Sci-Fi films in MOON and SOURCE CODE. He’s a director we’re all keeping our eye on and given that he’s a self-proclaimed Warcraft fan, he also seems like the right choice to direct this flick. Judging from this trailer he certainly seems to have some of epic down, so here’s hoping that the character’s have the depth we’ve come to expect from a Duncan Jones film!
WARCRAFT will hit theaters on June 10, 2016.
