PATHOLOGY – September 23rd

Nothing finer than a cover featuring a half naked chick! Except, of course, a cover featuring a fully naked chick… but that’s not the point. So wait, what’s the point? Oh yeah… the half naked chick on the cover–and what a great point it is! I’m also diggin’ the hell out of the tagline (get it? every body…ha), and of course the blood splatter scrubs of star Milo Ventimiglia is a nice touch too. Tis a shame this beast never really hit the big screen… let’s hope it makes a splash on DVD. Plus, did I mention Alyssa Milano???

PSYCHO – October 7th

I’ve waited and waited for the ‘right’ DVD edition of PSYCHO to come out for years, as I knew I would end up double-dipping on some of the more bareboned editions that have been released thus far. And this October, my wait will finally be over. Two discs worth of goodies celebrates the godfather of slasher films, and by far one of the best films ever made–if you’ve been waiting for a the right edition before you sprung your hard earned cash, then wait no further: the Legacy edition from Universal is the real deal–it’s what you’ve been waiting for.

MOTHER OF TEARS – September 23rd

This flick had all the makings of awesome: Dario Argento directing, Asia Argento acting, lots of gore, lots of nudity–yet what was delivered was nothing more than trash that could have been great but failed. I wouldn’t even say entertaining trash, I would simply call it trash. And now that it’s on DVD with an equally trash-bag of a cover, I can see that Dimension feels the same way. Dimension Extreme usually showcases some kick-ass covers, but this… I’m already bored to tears. Get it? Bored to tears???
