OUTLANDER – May 19th
I know, I totally screwed the pooch with this one, considering it comes out on DVD on Tuesday , but I couldn’t resist pimping this sucker out now. This DVD had a ton of cool features, a kick-ass cover, and from what I’ve heard, this movie rocks harder than most the shit that’s released these days. It was given the theatrical shaft, but that doesn’t mean it can’t strive and live long on DVD. Show it some love, yo!

BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA – August 4th
Out of all the characters Kurt Russell has played over the years, his take on Jake Burton has to be my favorite. He rocks a tank top, a mullet, and an attitude to match. He makes me want to be a trucker, just so I can gruff monolgues in my CB radio and hope that someone’s listening. And now that he’s invading Blu-Ray, I’ll be able to relish in the film over and over again. Sure, I have the DVD, but the DVD doesn’t have all these deleted scenes or the alternate ending, and those two alone make this the better package deal. Plus, how’s about this new cover? I’ll always love the original artwork, but this works, yo!

DOLLHOUSE (S1) – July 28th
I never caught the show on TV, but I only heard good things about it. Plus, it stars Eliza Dushku–and if she doesn’t spell ‘smokin’ hot,’ I don’t know what does. For Joss Whedon fans, the show was a blessing in disguise–while it wasn’t BUFFY or FIREFLY, it offered some Whedon love on primetime, and sometimes… that’s all you need. The cover art is cooler than a lot of TV shows right now… cool enough to make me want to give it a try during the dog days of summer when noting else is on but reruns of THE GOLDEN GIRLS.
