Easter Egg Countdown – The Amazing Spider-Man (video)

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

After Sam Raimi's less-than-warm reception to SPIDER-MAN 3 and the ultimate stalling of a fourth film, Sony decided to reboot their Spider-Man franchise from scratch with a new actor, new director, new look and a whole new direction for Marvel's favorite webhead. Andrew Garfield took on the role of Spider-Man in the aptly titled THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN with director Marc Webb at the helm. Joining the ranks was pre-Oscar winner Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Conners/The Lizard. While the film wasn't a breakout smash, it did make enough to get a sequel, which put the cap on the Garfield/Webb run and opened up the door for this summer's SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING. Some argue over who the best Spider-Man was/is and everyone seems to have their favorites and there's plenty to love/hate depending on your tastes. In the latest episode of Easter Egg Countdown, we take a look at all the nifty tidbits that are fit to print for the first reboot of the cinematic Spider-Man.   Check it out!
