The Eli Roth produced flick THE LAST EXORCISM, coming from director Daniel Stamm, has been on quite the ride huh? As soon as Roth’s name got attached to the flick it’s been on our radar… and that’s exactly where it’s been for a while now. When are we going to see this shite hit the screen? Well today I’ve got the answer to that very question!

Lionsgate recently snatched up the film prior to it’s SXSW screening, prompting it to be removed from the festival. Worry not though ladies and gentlemen, we won’t have to wait long to see some demonic fun! Lionsgate are planning on dropping THE LAST EXORCISM into theaters on August 27th! That’s only a few months away folks! Great news if you’ve been stoked for THE LAST EXORCISM right? Unfortunately I’m not really one for the ‘demonic’ side of our genre so my excitement isn’t through the roof. What about you guys? Anyone out there stoked THE LAST EXORCISM finally has a release date? Hit us with your opinions below!

After a career spent helping the devout through prayer and trickery, Rev. Cotton Marcus invites a film crew to document his final fraudulent days as an exorcist. Soon his faith is truly tested when a desperate plea from the father of a possessed girl brings him face to face with the devil himself.

THE LAST EXORCISM comes from writers Andrew Gurland and Huck Botko and stars Patrick Fabian, Ashley Bell (below), Iris Bahr, Louis Herthum and Caleb Landry Jones. With the flick’s August 27th release date for EXORCISM now only a few months away maybe we’ll be seeing some goods for the flick? One can only assume. As soon as we hear something though we’ll be sure to pass it along to all of you!
