Queen Latifah is headed back to Netflix! After being featured on the Netflix series Hollywood, playing Hattie McDaniel, Latifah is set to headline a new Netflix thriller called End of the Road.
In the film, Latifah will play Brenda, a recent widow who, after losing her job, drives her family cross-country to start a new life. In the New Mexico desert, cut off from help, they must learn to fight back when they become the targets of a mysterious killer. The project will be directed by TV veteran Millicent Shelton while screenplay duties will fall on David Loughery, who based his story on an original screenplay by Christopher Moore.
Queen Latifah has a few things coming up on her roster. It was recently announced that her CBS reboot of The Equalizer will get the coveted post-Super Bowl timeslot for its series premiere, which bodes well for the network's faith in the series. The actress will also team up with Adam Sandler for another Netflix project called Hustle.
