Ethan Hawke is prepping for a trippy sci-fi romp PREDESTINATION, which will reunite him with the Spierig Brothers (pictured above), Michael and Peter, with whom he worked with on DAYBREAKERS.

Story centers on a secret government time traveling agency designed to prevent future killers and terrorists from committing their crimes. Pic chronicles the life of a Temporal Agent sent on an intricate series of time-travel journeys designed to ensure the continuation of his law enforcement career for all eternity.

Film is based on – or at least inspired by – Robert A. Heinlein’s short story ALL YOU ZOMBIES, which, if I’m understanding the summary correctly, is about a man who travels back in time and impregnates a young woman – who turns out to be himself before his sex change operation! (Seriously, read the Wiki page for this crazy fucker right HERE.)

I’ll be very surprised if the Spierig brothers keep that insane little detail intact, but hell, we can only hope…

Filming begins on PREDESTINATION in Australia early next year. Arclight Films is handling international sales.
