Evans is a Loser?

JoBloJoBlo

Chris Evans seems to be keeping those impressively chiseled features close to the comic book world.

After two stints in fire-retardant spandex for FANTASTIC FOUR and an upcoming appearance as an evil ex-boyfriend in SCOTT PILGRIM, he’s also joining Warner Bros.’ adaptation of the DC/Vertigo comic series THE LOSERS.

The story revolves around a black ops team left for dead during a mission and seeking revenge on the agent(s) who doublecrossed them. According to Mania, Evans will play Jensen, the team’s motormouth tech guru.

The team is led by ex-WATCHMEN member and “SUPERNATURAL” dad Jeffrey Dean Morgan, with Idris Elba (“The Wire”), Zoe Saldana (STAR TREK) and Columbus Short (STOMP THE YARD) rounding out the team. Assuming the movie follows the comic (which it certainly appears), the only vacant roles are that of silent sharpshooter Cougar and the movie’s main villain(s).

STOMP THE YARD director Sylvain White is handling the action for überproducer Joel Silver’s company Dark Castle.
