Proof once again that Region 1 fans don’t get all the good stuff when it comes to DVDs.
After years of speculation and wanting (and numerous quotes from director Paul Anderson), EVENT HORIZON gets the Special Edition DVD it deserves. Unfortunately for us Region 1 fans, Region 2 fans get first dibs. Rated special features (the British Board of Film Classification had to see ’em first) include:
- three deleted & extended scenes (“Briefing,” “Extended Medical Bay,” “Extended Burning Man Confrontation”)
- four “The Point of No Return” featurettes (“The Crew Gathers,” “The Dark Inside,” “The Revolving Corridor,” “Shooting Wire Work”)
- “The Unseen Event Horizon” (“Unfilmed Rescue Scene,” “Conceptual Art Montage”)
- a five-part, 102-minute “Making Of” documentary (“Into the Jaws of Darkness,” “The Body of the Beast,” “Liberate Tutume Ex Infernis,” “The Scale to Hell,” “The Womb of Fear”)
