Things are getting wierder for this film.

At the Twisted Nightmare Weekend, the fandom magazine Mars Dust scored an interview with Henrietta himself, Ted Raimi. While the interview was mostly about Raimi’s upcoming and current projects, one question stuck out with regards to the much-requested EVIL DEAD 4 and the not-so-requested EVIL DEAD remake.

When the interviewer asked Ted about any news on the remake and the fourth film, Ted replied that “there won’t be one as far as I know. That’s all I know. I mean there might be, there might be one but as far as I can tell there isn’t. Nothing’s going on with it at the moment.”

Now, keep in mind that the way the question was phrased, Ted might be referring to EVIL DEAD 4 or the remake. It’s hard to tell. Elsewhere in the interview, Ted talks about his experiences working on Hercules, EVIL DEAD 2, and the now-released EVIL DEAD video game EVIL DEAD: REGENERATION. Check out the interview here.
