TRAINSPOTTING 2 is in production in Scotland, and just in case you didn’t believe that this is actually happening, we have the photographic proof! Filming is underway and the Daily Mail showed off some on-set pictures that gives us a glimpse of Ewen Bremmer (in costume, no less), Ewan McGregor, director Danny Boyle and Robert Carlyle. None of us want to make a poor sequel to it. So had we not been presented with the most extraordinary script, which we were, I think we wouldn't be making the sequel. But because we were, we are.
Everyone's a little wary about a sequel to TRAINSPOTTING after all this time, but Ewan's words do give me hope. None of the actors have been slacking lately, and Danny Boyle is (arguably) as great as he ever was. We don't know how much this movie will take from the sequel book, "Porno," but here's hoping Boyle and Co. craft another fun, compelling and insightful tale for this motley crew!
TRAINSPOTTING 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on February 10, 2017.
