Eva:
The east coast actress is recurrently cast
in the work of filmmaker Vince Corkadel (she plays a grieving
girlfriend, haunted by her deceased lover, in RESTLESS). In terms of genre
films, she’s impassioned by PAN’S LABRYINTH (“The elements of horror,
fantasy and drama–combined with perfect storytelling–makes it
fantastic!”) and genuinely loves horror films. Eva states a couple
of favs:
“I also love THE LIVING DEAD AT MANCHESTER MORGUE and pretty much
anything by Jean Rollin and Guillermo Del Toro. In regard to my favorite
actress, there are so many good ones from the 70’s and 80’s but I’d have
to go with Brigitte Lahaie…and her awesome boobs. A close second would
be Barbara Crampton in RE-ANIMATOR. Del Toro is my favorite director but
I also like the work of Dario Argento and Stuart Gordon.”
Here’s what she had to say as to a horror scene that
scared the hell of out her: “Ever since I saw LIVING DEAD AT MANCHESTER
MORGUE, one scene has stuck with me. It creeped me out when Cristina
Galbó’s character encounters the water soaked zombie for the first time.
Scary stuff.” And why do horror films appeal to her?
“Sometimes I just like being creeped out….it’s good for the body.”
