Joel McHale is not a name you’d expect to see involved in a horror film. From his incredibly funny hosting gig on E Entertainment’s “The Soup” to his work in films such as TED and of course on the fan-loving series “Community,” he has a knack for earning a laugh or two. The guy is very funny. Thankfully, while he does display his humorous side in the horror thriller DELIVER US FROM EVIL, he also shows off a little skill from drama and playing with knives.
When I sat down with Joel, he made fun of my pants. Apparently he wasn’t impressed, which I’m totally okay with. Once we moved on, he discussed getting the rights to wear an Alice in Chains shirt in the film, and just how long he rehearsed with knives to make his character all the more badass.
