Ralph Sarchie video interview digs into Malefice and demonology

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Retired NYPD sergeant and a traditionalist Catholic demonologist Ralph Sarchie is featured in director Billy Lewis's newly released documentary Malefice: A True Story of a Demonic Haunting, which you can rent or buy through ScareNetwork.tv. Our own Jason Hewlett of The Paranormal Network YouTube Channel got in contact with Sarchie to discuss Malefice and his experiences as a demonologist, and you can check out their video interview in the embed above. It's a fascinating conversation that digs into some unnerving stuff, so I recommend that you give it a look whether you're a believer or a skeptic.

Malefice: A True Story of a Demonic Haunting has the following synopsis:

Wanting revenge after paranormal investigator Sean Austin crossed over two trapped souls from a dark location, an evil presence tried to seek retaliation against him for five years. Coming to this realization, Sean knew he had to return with friends and fellow investigators Dave Spinks & Eric Conner with the hope of finishing what he started, and sending the demon back where it belongs… HELL!

Sarchie wrote the 2001 book Beware the Night with Lisa Collier Cool (buy a copy HERE), telling the story of how he would balance his police work with investigations of demonic possession. That book

takes readers into the very hierarchy of a hell on earth to expose the grisly rituals of a Palo Mayombe priest; a young girl whose innocence is violated by an incubus; a home invaded by the malevolent spirit of a supposedly murdered nineteenth-century bride; the dark side of a couple who were, literally, the neighbors from hell; and more. Ralph Sarchie's NYPD revelations are a powerful and disturbing documented link between the true-crime realities of life and the blood-chilling ice-grip of a supernatural terror.

Beware the Night served as the basis for Scott Derrickson's 2014 film Deliver Us from Evil (watch it HERE), in which Sarchie was played by Eric Bana. Since then, Sarchie has also hosted the Destination America television series The Demon Files.
