Exclusive 1:1 Interview with Man of Steel director Zack Snyder!

JoBloJoBlo

Zack Snyder has a way with superheroes. With WATCHMEN, he created a unique and brutal world for some of the most complex on-screen heroes ever put on film. With MAN OF STEEL, he gives this massive icon a thrilling edge. The director breathes new life in this incredible DC character as well as a new hope for the DC universe on the big screen.

It is always a great pleasure talking with Zack. He is always energetic and kind and open to talk. And while we were able to bring a cameraman to film the interview, the soundstage at WB wasn’t as conducive to shooting on film as we would like. Thankfully, Zack found a place for us to shoot and at least help light it up a bit better. When we spoke we talked about going back to the beginning of the character, and finding the contrast between the fantastical side of the story and the more grounded familial aspect.

During our conversation we also discussed whether he had thought about continuing what Christopher Nolan had done with Batman and creating a trilogy with the MAN OF STEEL. He also talked about seeing Henry Cavill in the Superman suit for the very first time… And in my opinion, he made the right choice, Cavill gives a soaring performance which ranks as one of the best cinematic heroes of all time! MAN OF STEEL opens June 14th at a theatre near you!
