When you think of "epic" movies, you may immediately consider fantasy films like THE LORD OF THE RINGS or maybe even STAR WARS, HARRY POTTER, or THE MATRIX. But, epic does not solely have to be about those genres. Epic truly belongs to films with a sweeping scope and that could be from any number of genres like war, history, or even romance. The cinematic scale of a movie that crosses continents and generations could be deserving of the word epic.
