UPDATED: Exclusive: Simon West talks Expendables 2’s “hard R” rating!

It has been pondered over for months now: Will THE EXPENDABLES 2 be rated PG-13? Could that be possible? We heard a few times that, yes, indeed it would be. Then we heard, no way, it’s an R up the wazoo. Frankly, it never seemed truly feasible that it could be anything other than an R, but you know how Hollywood works: anything is possible, don’t be surprised by any development.

Having just gotten off the phone with director Simon West, I can stomp out any lingering worries you may have had: THE EXPENDABLES 2 is an R. A hard one, too. (Does that sound wrong?) Read the man’s comments right here:
