Explosions and shoot-outs on the set of Captain America: The Winter Soldier!

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER is going full tilt awesome in the streets of Cleveland and yesterday had some of the most bombastic on-set action so far. The video from the set comes from local news stations who were able to get some great vantage points of the filming that's been taking place on a closed off overpass, where the titular character The Winter Soldier seems to be attacking Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) with gunfire. At one point, The Winter Soldier is laying down lead from atop the overpass, while Black Widow returns fire from below.

It's rare that we see this much action being filmed as it usually takes place on soundstages or closed off locations, so it's pretty damn cool to catch glimpses of the magic being made. Kudos to Anthony and Joe Russo for using real locations like this as well. Cleveland served THE AVENGERS magnificently and I get the feeling the locale (as well as that of Washington D.C.) will serve the film exceptionally.

Here's the videos:
