The whole month of November we were speculating as to what the new DVD cover art for the UNCUT FRIDAY THE 13TH Deluxe Edition would look like, whether or not PART 3 would be in 3-D (check out the speculation HERE). Today not only do we have confirmation, but we have the covers to prove it!
STYD scored the first-look at the covers, confirming that FRIDAY will be UNCUT, and PART 3 will be in 3-D! But on the whole? These covers are freakin’ weak! That’s right, I said it… weak! I just don’t understand why they came up with some of the most generic covers of all time–if they were just going to go with the original design, why spice it up only to make them look sillier? Why not keep it original, or go an entirely new direction? These are just… weak! And is it just me, or does the the title for FRIDAY THE 13TH above initially look like FRIDAY THE 3TH? Oh, wait, that knife’s a 1… it took me a double-take to figure that out. Bugh…
So f*ck these covers, but at least the content on the DVDs themselves are rockin’ pretty hard, so that’s cool. And yeah… PART 3 in 3-D has been a dream of mine since I was a little boy, so f*ck yeah on that front! I can’t wait to double dip me some 3-D goodness.
