Fangoria 2022 Chainsaw Awards nominees have been announced, voting is now open

Iconic genre magazine Fangoria will be giving out their coveted Chainsaw Awards once again this year, and they have officially announced the lists of nominees who are up for the awards in all categories. The nominees can be seen below, and if you want to make sure your top choices have a better chance to win, you can send in your vote at THIS LINK.

Fangoria will be accepting votes until Thursday, March 31st at 11:59 PM EST. Votes will then be tallied, and “winners will be celebrated later this year during a yet-to-be-revealed Chainsaw Awards event.”

Fangoria editor-in-chief Phil Nobile Jr. provided the following statement:

Horror is always fertile ground for excellence, and 2021 offered an embarrassment of riches. Most of the voter feedback this year has been how hard it was to pick a favorite in any category. We concur.”

Chosen by write-in votes.

There are definitely nominees I’ll be rooting for in several of those categories… but there also a lot of nominees that I’m not familiar with. For example, I haven’t seen any of the foreign language choices yet, and I haven’t seen many of the streaming premieres beyond the one I reviewed. So I’m going to have to do some catching up before I’m able to completely fill out the ballot for this year’s Chainsaw Awards.
