F9, Vin Diesel, Fast & Furious 9

The ninth installment of the Fast & Furious saga has experienced several delays due to COVID-19, the most recent occuring just last month, but that's just means that we've gotten to see more trailers for the high-octane action flick than we typically would, and another is set to be released tomorrow! While we await the latest trailer for F9, a series of motion posters have been released via Twitter which show the cast doing their best to look menacing against a backdrop of cars and colourful smoke.

I honestly never expected to legitimately enjoy the Fast & Furious franchise as much as I do, but once I just embraced the physics-defying madness of the films, I've had a great time with them. It may be coming out well over a year after it was originally slated to be released, but I'm pumped to see what F9 has in store for us.

The official synopsis for F9:

Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto is leading a quiet life off the grid with Letty and his son, little Brian, but they know that danger always lurks just over their peaceful horizon. This time, that threat will force Dom to confront the sins of his past if he’s going to save those he loves most. His crew joins together to stop a world-shattering plot led by the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver they’ve ever encountered: a man who also happens to be Dom’s forsaken brother, Jakob (John Cena).

F9 will hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
